My role: Founder, Developer, Artist, Publisher.
In 2014, I founded an indie game studio. It was a solo studio where I take charge of everything from ideation, art creation, programming, and publishing to marketing.
The games created were revolving around the concept of “rediscovering classic games”. For instance, a snake game was reinvented by combining RPG elements, or a space shooter game incorporated with SLG elements. Pixel Art was used as the visual style as it represents game visuals of 80s-90s and is often associated with retro and quirkiness.
Despite the games being a relatively small production, they have been well received by both players & critics. The game “Sudden Watermelon” has over 650k downloads, while another title “Karaz’s Conquest“ had been featured on Apple Appstore as “New Games We Love” over South East Asia, China and other 17 countries. On top of that, the games have received multiple nominations, awards and features.
